| Abstract: | Studies fluid inclusions within quartz veins cutting greenschist facies metasedimentary rocks of Valdez group, analysing six samples to determine tempereature and pressure of vein emplacement. Finds geothermal gradients to be higher than expected for accretionary margins with subduction of cold oceanic crust, possibly reflecting subduction of ridge and/or creation of slab window. |
