Abstract: Uses Foucaultian analysis of data collected through archival research, semi-structured interviews and participant observation to extend body of existing knowledge concerning feminised disciplinary practices to Aboriginal population. Argues that traditional Dene games practices used by residents of Sambaa K'e, Northwest Territories, act as constraints inhibiting women's participation in physical activity.
