Abstract: In addition to reports from CCAMLR, SCAR, COMNAP, Committee for Environmental Protection (CEP) and other organisations, Consultative Meeting discussions included designations and management plans for several Antarctic specially protected areas; management plan for ASMAs and ASPAs at Deception Island; addition of Lillie Marlene Hut and Amundsen's tent to list of Historic Sites and Monuments; revision of rules of procedure for Consultative Meetings; audit, work programme and budget of Secretariat; criteria for Marine Protected Areas and CCAMLR; practical guidelines for developing and designing environmental monitoring programmes in Antarctica; updating of guidelines for environmental impact assessment; site guidelines for visitors; and biological prospecting.
