| Abstract: | Describes new species from depths of Southern Ocean, collected during cruises ANDEEP I and II in 2002. Disparella maiuscula sp. nov. is second record of this genus from the region, and can be distinguished from all other species of Disparella by length of cephalic spines and longer uropods. Further differences are setation of first pereopod; seven small setae on ventral margin of carpus; and strongly concave posterior margin of fifth pereonite. |
