Abstract: Describes series of experiments aimed at identifying discrete glacial lineaments in north-east Wales. Presents results of geomorphological mapping using false colour composites (FCCs) of Landsat 7 ETM+ subscenes and a DTM. Increases number of lineaments identified using visible and near-infrared composite draped over DTM-derived shaded relief map. Explores landform shaping processes involved in formation of glacial lineaments (subglacially streamlined features such as drumlins, rock drumlins, crag-and-tails and flutes). Identifies landform system formed by rock drumlins and characterized by convergent flow patterns at its head, attenuated lineaments, and abrupt lateral margins, possibly indicating formation by fast-flowing ice.
