Зависимость мощности сезонноталого слоя от влажности грунтов на лено-кенкеминском междуречье

Title: Зависимость мощности сезонноталого слоя от влажности грунтов на лено-кенкеминском междуречье
Title, transliterated: Zavisimostʹ moshchnosti sezonnotalogo sloi︠a︡ ot vlazhnosti gruntov na leno-kenkeminskom mezhdurechʹe / I.S. Vasilʹev, R.N. Argunov.
Translated title: Interdependence between moisture content and thickness of active layer within the Lena-Kenkeme interfluve area.

Language: Russian.
In: Kriosfera Zemli. (2005.), Vol. 9(3) (2005)
Abstract: Discusses relationship between variations in moisture content and thickness of active layer in various terrain units of Lena-Kenkeme interfluve. Analyses soil moisture variations at 0.2, 0.4 and 1 m depths during three warm and two cold periods during 1999-2001. Compares pre-winter moisture content for rainy, moderately rainy and dry summers at key sites in five terrain types (inter-alas, alas, san-ridge, inter-ridge depression and slope). Dry summers had shallowest seasonal thaw depths, rainy summers greatest. Relationship applies for dry and mesophyte locations. Concludes watering (most moistened seasons) or disappearance of surface and ground waters (driest seasons) in topographic depressions most favour formation of thick active layer.
