Abstract: Brief biography of Thomas Biggs, who left Falkland Islands aged 15 to serve in Navy during World War II. He later served on frigate HMS Sparrow which patrolled as far south as Admiralty Bay in South Shetland Islands; and also aboard RRS John Biscoe when he assisted in 1963 inshore survey of Henkes Islands. Biggs Island is named in his honour.
