| Abstract: | Studies current environmental conditions, focusing on sea-level changes, benthic foraminifera, zoobenthos, ice regime, climate, geology and hydrology. Describes bottom topography including submarine terraces and seafloor morphology. Considers coastal dynamics and morphology, and role of sea ice in sea bottom dynamics. Analyses quaternary stratigraphy and palaeogeography with reference to cryogenic processes, palynology, sediments and evolution of barrier beaches. Examines technogenic impact of coastal dynamics and ecological situation in Prirazlomnoye oilfield area. Considers future development: possible sea-level changes and sedimentary evolution. |
