Abstract: Reviews results related to influence of long-term changes of atmospheric wave activity and circulation on ozone layer, with particular reference to Antarctic ozone hole in 2002. Results provide evidence of important role of natural factors in ozone layer changes, connected with interannual and decadal variations in coupled ocean-atmosphere system of Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Discusses possible mechanisms of long-term changes of ozone layer and climate.
