Date: | 2005. |
Publisher: | Berlin: Springer/Praxis |
Abstract: | Presents results of range of environmental, ecological and socio-economic studies based on data analysis and numerical modelling. Provides quantitative assessment of vulnerability of White Sea marine ecosystems, including scenarios for future anthropogenic and climate change. Includes analysis of historical marine and riverine data records; examination of White Sea ecosystem profile; application of satellite observations to study of changes in regional physical oceanography and marine ecology; challenges of data assimilation and ecosystem modelling; extent of current and future developments; socio-economic impact of ecological changes; assessment of state of ecology, vulnerability and sustainability of White Sea. |
