Abstract: | Organised politics started around turn of 20th century. Newspapers were set up in both North and South. First known society was in South around Norwegian Independence date, with East Finnmark nearer 1920. Isak Saba first entered Storting in 1906. Elsa Renberg and Daniel Mortensson were pioneers. Newspapers included "Fortelleren", "Lapparnes Egen Tidning", Samefolkets Egen Tidning", "Sagai Muittalaegje (Nyhetsfortelleren)", "Waren Sardne (Underretning fra fjeldet)", "Samealbmug (Samefolket)" and "Sabmelaš". |
