| Abstract: | Four mitochondrial DNA restriction site or length polymorphisms were determined for 35 eastern Arctic skeletal samples (3 Dorset, 14 Sadlermiut and 18 Thule). Dorset appear fixed for haplogroup D, Thule for haplogroup A and Sadlermiut appear intermediate between two. Analysis of frequencies suggests Dorset contributed to gene pool of Sadlermiut, but not to that of Thule. |
