Пространственная изменчивость прочностных свойств печного льда

Title: Пространственная изменчивость прочностных свойств печного льда
Title, transliterated: Prostranstvennai︠a︡ izmenchivostʹ prochnostnykh svoĭstv pechnogo lʹda / V.P. Epifanov, N.I. Osokin.
Translated title: Spatial variability of river ice strength.
Author(s): Epifanov, V. P.
Osokin, N. I.
Ėpifanov, V. P.
Date: 2004.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2004.), Vol. 97 (2004)
Abstract: Examines structure and conditions of formation of ice covering part of Desna river in March, 2003. Illustrates granular structure of ice in transparent and opalescent layers. Presents field measurements of dynamic strength and determinations in non-load conditions of acoustic properties, density, and static and dynamic strength of ice in homogeneous layers. Presents quantitative estimates of mechanical properties in different layers. Discusses distribution of locally weaker areas of river ice. Determines coefficient of proportionality between ice strength H and ice strength at stretching σp. Develops complex method of studying destruction process of river ice in relation to non-linear ice properties.
