Климатические условия пределов нарастания снежности на севере Евразии

Title: Климатические условия пределов нарастания снежности на севере Евразии
Title, transliterated: Klimaticheskie uslovii︠a︡ predelov narastanii︠a︡ snezhnosti na severe Evrazii / L.M. Kitaev, A.N. Krenke, T.B. Titkova.

Abstract: Notes recent increase in winter air temperature, precipitation and snowiness in northern Eurasia, examines conditions limiting increase, and compares with contemporary climate. Statistics for snow storage and winter-averaged precipitation and air temperature for different sectors show precipitation grows with winter temperature in region overall, and all sectors north of Russian Plain. For northern Russian Plain, Urals and most of West Siberia, maximum snow storage occurred in years milder than average, suggesting snowiness limit is not reached. For central Russian Plain, Altay steppe, and most of East Siberia and Far East, maxima occurred in winter air temperatures close to today's. In southern Russian Plain and Kazakhstan, maximum occurred in colder than average years. Argues conditions overall in northern Eurasia close to turning point.
