Ликвидация нефтяных загрязнений пенными сорбентами: технологические и экологические аспекты

Title: Ликвидация нефтяных загрязнений пенными сорбентами: технологические и экологические аспекты
Title, transliterated: Likvidat︠s︡ii︠a︡ nefti︠a︡nykh zagri︠a︡zneniĭ pennymi sorbentami: tekhnologicheskie i ėkologicheskie aspekty / V.N. Feklistov, I.R. Shreĭber.
Translated title: Elimination of oil pollution by foam sorbents: technological and ecological aspects.
Author(s): Feklistov, V. N.
Shreĭber, I. R.
Shreiber, I. R.
Date: 2005.
Language: Russian.
In: Kriosfera Zemli. (2005.), Vol. 9(1) (2005)
Abstract: Analyzes technological and ecological properties of foam sorbents obtained from urea resin (UF-sorbents). Simulation analysis and experiment confirm high sorptive properties with regard to oil and its products. Technology to produce UF-sorbent at application site drastically reduces operation cost. Describes method of supplying foam sorbent directly onto oil spill, based on pneumatic transportation of solid bodies in accompanying air stream. Considers ecological consequences of UF-sorbent application, finding no acute lethal effect on fishes or aquatic invertebrates. Recommends use for collecting oil from water surfaces on condition of removal within 3 to 5 days. Makes further recommendations for ecologically safe application of UF-sorbents and their subsequent utilization.
