Record #17338:

A note on current drift in the Arctic Sea / Robert A. Logan.

Title: A note on current drift in the Arctic Sea / Robert A. Logan.
Author(s): Logan, Robert A.
Date: 1937.
In: Explorers Journal. (1937.), Vol. 15(4) (1937)
Abstract: Following North American press reports of an aeroplane drifting in the sea seen by ship to east of Newfoundland, suggests that the aircraft abandoned on large floe by Wilkins and Eielson in 1927 may have drifted in similar eddy to that of Hudson's Bay Company steamer Baychimo in 1931. Interpolation of tracks of Karluk, (Stefansson), Jeannette (de Long), and Fram (Nansen) suggest that eddy eventually drifted into East Greenland Current.
