| Abstract: | Presents 2002 census data for Buller's albatrosses breeding on Solander Islands and North East Island of Snares Islands. Comparison with previous counts indicates increase in numbers. Assesses accuracy and precision of results by comparing trends in numbers obtained by ground counts with those from vantage-point counts, and discusses mechanisms which may have contributed to timing of increases. |
