| Abstract: | Examines geography of Siberian seas during Famennian (Upper Devonian) based on detailed analysis of sediments and benthos. Establishes 15 bottom palaeolandscapes, two coastal and seven palaeolandscape regions. Includes data on location of each palaeolandscape, depth of water basin, quality of water and its salinity, and hydrodynamics. Pays particular attention to composition of benthic flora and fauna. Discusses extinction of certain groups of organisms at boundary of Frasnian-Famennian eras. |
