Abstract: Reconnaissance Pb-Pb step-leaching analyses were carried out on garnet and kyanite from the Krummedal supracrustal sequence in East Greenland, yielding respectively Neoproterozoic and Caledonian ages. Data support previous analyses suggesting Krummedal supracrustal sequence was affected by early Neoproterozoic and Caledonian thermal events. Titanite and apatite fractions from underlying crystalline basement rocks were analysed to obtain metamorphic ages. Titanite yielded a date of 486 +/-15 Ma, older than usual range of Caledonian ages in East Greenland.
