Численные исследования теплофизических процессов в сезонномерзлых грунтах

Title: Численные исследования теплофизических процессов в сезонномерзлых грунтах
Title, transliterated: Chislennye issledovanii︠a︡ teplofizicheskikh prot︠s︡essov v sezonnomerzlykh gruntakh / S.A. Kudri︠a︡vt︠s︡ev.
Translated title: Numerical investigations of the thermophysical processes in seasonally freezing soils.
Author(s): Kudri︠a︡vt︠s︡ev, S. A.
Date: 2003.
Language: Russian.
In: Kriosfera Zemli. (2003.), Vol. 7(4) (2003)
Abstract: Presents strategy for finite element modelling of freezing processes, frost heave and thaw. Solves non-stationary thermophysical problem before defining stress-strain state of "subsoil-superstructure" complex during freeze-thaw sequence. Notes precise solution must include sub-zero phase transitions and presence of migratory moisture in freeze-through area. Defines relative ground deformations at frost penetration, accounting for redistribution and moisture migration (depending on distance between freezing front and ground water level, assumed known). Accounts for anisotropic heave deformation in determining subsoil stress-strain state, basing maximum ground deformations during thaw on physical characteristics (e.g., moisture and ice contents) obtained during solutions for frost penetration stages. Presents thermophysical calculation for building foundation on Far-East section of Trans-Siberian Railway (Arhara Station)
