Multiple regression equations for the estimation of new snow density from meteorological elements / Masahiro Kajikawa, Hiroshi Goto, Kosei Kanaya, Katsuhiro Kikuchi.

Title: Multiple regression equations for the estimation of new snow density from meteorological elements / Masahiro Kajikawa, Hiroshi Goto, Kosei Kanaya, Katsuhiro Kikuchi.
Author(s): Kajikawa, Masahiro.
Goto, Hiroshi.
Kanaya, Kosei.
Kikuchi, Katsuhiro.
Date: 2004.
Language: Japanese.
In: Seppyo : Journal of the Japanese Society of Snow and Ice. (2004.), Vol. 66(5) (2004)
Abstract: Presents statistical analysis of relationships between dry new snow density and meteorological elements, using data from inland Akita prefecture. Obtains from multiple regression analysis statistically significant equations expressing density as function of mean precipitation intensity, wind speed at 1 m above snow surface, and mean air temperature for several dominant snow crystal shapes comprising snowfall (spatial dendrites, stellar crystals, rimed stellar crystals, and rimed spatial dendrites)
