| Abstract: | Uses high resolution acoustic data and sediment cores to investigate sedimentary systems of four tidewater glacier-influenced inlets Tempelfjorden, Billefjorden, Yoldiabukta and Borebukta in Isfjorden area. Presents acoustic profiles and core data. Discusses moraines, debris lobes and distally stratified facies observed and compares with other submarine ice-marginal facies. Proposes model for glacigenic sedimentation of surging and non-tidewater glaciers in a High Arctic environment. Briefly discusses chronology of Holocene glacier advances. |
