Abstract: Presents new retrieval technique from Halogen Occultation Experiment (HALOE). Eliminates previous bias by retrieving and correcting for extinction of polar mesospheric clouds (PMCs). Data 1991-2002 reprocessed using new algorithm to yield 75,000 vertical profiles of temperature, H₂O, O₃, NO and extinction at 5 infrared wavelengths.
