Abstract: | Doctoral thesis from University of Hamburg deals with sedimentary processes of both lithogenic and organic material in Kara Sea. Discusses quantification of fluxes to Kara Sea as well as accumulation and degradation of suspended load. Thesis consists of introduction, outline of historical context of exploration and research in Kara Sea and three papers by Gebhart together with other authors on sedimentation from Ob and Yenisey rivers, and synthesis of thesis. |
