Abstract: Outlines studies of permafrost dynamics in Laptev Sea carried out by joint Russian-German research project. Summarises results of expedition which focused on recent processes influencing stability of biogeochemical cycles of Laptev Sea in particular interaction between atmosphere, water column and submarine permafrost.
