Record #172154:

Reproduction strategies and distribution of larvae and juveniles of benthic soft-bottom invertebrates in the Kara Sea (Russian Arctic) / Ingo Fetzer.

Title: Reproduction strategies and distribution of larvae and juveniles of benthic soft-bottom invertebrates in the Kara Sea (Russian Arctic) / Ingo Fetzer.
Author(s): Fetzer, Ingo.
Date: 2005.
In: Berichte zur Polar- und Meeresforschung = Reports on Polar and Marine Research. (2005.), Vol. 496 (2005)
Abstract: Determines reproductive patterns of benthic invertebrates in Kara Sea and analyses possible adaptations of reproduction strategies to polar conditions. Investigates structuring influence of river discharge and hydrography on spatial distribution of larvae and settled juveniles in relation to distribution of their adults. Pays particular attention to role of pycnocline in separating meroplankton communities.
