Abstract: Investigates foraging ecology of harp seals and transfer of energy through Franz Josef Land-Novaya Zemlya food chain using fatty acid profiles and lipid biomarkers. Confirms importance of polar cod (Boreogadus saida) and pelagic amphipod Themisto libelula in diet of harp seal.
