Record #171500:

Rethinking Late Weichselian ice sheet dynamics in coastal NW Svalbard / Jon Y. Landvik, and 6 others.

Title: Rethinking Late Weichselian ice sheet dynamics in coastal NW Svalbard / Jon Y. Landvik, and 6 others.
Author(s): Landvik, Jon Y.
Date: 2005.
In: Boreas. (2005.), Vol. 34(1) (2005)
Abstract: New marine geological data found suite of glacial sediments going southwards from Kongsfjordrenna trough to shelf west of Prins Karls Forland. Moraine system on shelf shows how glacial ice covered coastal lowlands. Trough seems to have been filled by fast flowing ice stream with sharp boundaries. Same discontinuity may account for apparent contradictions between marine and land records in wider region.
