| Abstract: | Samples were taken from 195 whales off SW Iceland from 1983 to 1988. Relating these to reproductive status, length and stage of hunting season showed method to be powerful addition to earlier anatomical/histological methods of studying breeding cycle, corroborating and surpassing them. |
