| Abstract: | Three clusters of survey stations and strain grid leading to Dye-3 borehole were used in 1980 and summer 1981, with similar surveys in Summit region in 1987 and 1989. Aim was to measure surface velocities and find 20-30 year average accumulation rates from shallow cores. Beta radioactivity was measured to find dating layers from fallout. Oxygen isotope ratios found seasonal cycles. Paper presents these and data from disparate sources, to compare them for reliability and set up benchmark for detecting change. |
