| Abstract: | Steam barque was used on Mylius-Erichsen's expedition to NE Greenland 1906-08. Originally Scottish whaler Sir Colin Campbell, changed to carrying cryolite from Ivigtut, SW Greenland, then sealer as Magdalena, in which Amundsen made first Arctic voyage. After search for Fiala-Ziegler members, she became Danmark. Then voyages with copper and graphite, until 1916 sent to fetch Crocker Land expedition members. Ran ashore off Sweden in 1917 and broke up. |
