Abstract: Upon rediscovery of seven syntypes of louse collected from seabirds in South Atlantic during 1912-13 voyage of brig Daisy and found in collection of United States National Museum of Natural History, male lectotype for louse taxon Docophorus atlanticus Kellogg, 1914 is designated from syntype series.
