Record #171209:

ADCP-referenced geostrophic velocity and transport in the West Spitsbergen Current / Robert Osiński, Piotr Wieczorek, Agnieszka Beszczýnska-Möller, Ilona Goszczko.

Title: ADCP-referenced geostrophic velocity and transport in the West Spitsbergen Current / Robert Osiński, Piotr Wieczorek, Agnieszka Beszczýnska-Möller, Ilona Goszczko.
Author(s): Osiński, Robert.
Wieczorek, Piotr.
Beszczýnska-Möller, Agnieszka.
Goszczko, Ilona.
Date: 2003.
In: Oceanologia. (2003.), Vol. 45(3) (2003)
Abstract: In summer of 2000 and 2002 (June-July) measurements were made along three transects perpendicular to main stream. Geostrophic, baroclinic flow and measured currents agreed except that actual velocities were higher. Main stream is topographically steered by continental slope, and complex stream structure is clearly seen.
Notes:

Oceanologia. Vol. 45(3) :425-435 (2003).

Keywords: 551.465 -- Oceanography, dynamics.
551.465.5 -- Ocean currents.
C -- Oceanography, hydrography and hydrology.
(*3) -- Arctic regions.
(*613) -- Svalbard waters.
