Abstract: | Describes main locations. Emphasis is on axial element. Cooking and/or seething stones are common during Saqqaq, rare in Dorset. In Late Saqqaq style shifted to platform type found in Disko Bay. In Independence II, external borders may form "wings" at end/s. Late Dorset is found only in NW Greenland, where four types are noted. Extensive references. |
