Nutrient maximum in the Canada basin / Mingming Jin, Jinfeng Wu, Jianfang Chen, Jinping Zhao, Guoping Gao, Haisheng Zhang.

Title: Nutrient maximum in the Canada basin / Mingming Jin, Jinfeng Wu, Jianfang Chen, Jinping Zhao, Guoping Gao, Haisheng Zhang.
Author(s): Jin, Mingming.
Wu, Jinfeng.
Chen, Jianfang.
Zhao, Jinping.
Gao, Guoping.
Zhang, Haisheng.
Date: 2004.
Language: Chinese.
In: Chinese Journal of Polar Research. (2004.), Vol. 16(3) (2004)
Abstract: Reports on data collected during 1999 and 2003 Chinese Arctic Expedition cruises for potential temperature, salinity, depth and nutrient concentrations. Defines four water masses of physical and chemical characteristics in Canada basin: surface water, nutrient regeneration water, mixed water and deep water. Robust maxima of silicate and phosphate imply that diatoms and their regeneration dominate Pacific-origin water.
