Investigation of the Greenland atmospheric boundary Layer Over Summit 2002 (IGLOS). Field phase report / Clemens Drüe, Günther Heinemann.
Title: | Investigation of the Greenland atmospheric boundary Layer Over Summit 2002 (IGLOS). Field phase report / Clemens Drüe, Günther Heinemann. |
Author(s): | Drüe, Clemens. Heinemann, Günther. |
Date: | 2003. |
In: | Berichte zur Polar- und Meeresforschung = Reports on Polar and Marine Research. (2003.), Vol. 447 (2003) |
Abstract: | Investigation focussed on stable boundary layer over flat, homogeneous snow typical of polar ice sheets. Main tool was ski-equipped aircraft, flying from Summit, measuring turbulence and heat and momentum fluxes and using altimeter. Radiosondes ascended every 3 hours. |
