Record #171002:

The main glacial limits in Belarus / A.K. Karabanov, A.V. Matveyev, I.E. Pavlovskaya.

Title: The main glacial limits in Belarus / A.K. Karabanov, A.V. Matveyev, I.E. Pavlovskaya.
Author(s): Karabanov, A. K.
Matveyev, A. V.
Pavlovskaya, I. E.
Date: 2004.
Publisher: Amsterdam: Elsevier
In: Quaternary glaciations - extent and chronology : Part I Europe. (2004.),
Abstract: Complements digital maps included with volume. Presents latest modifications to glacial pattern in Belarus published in 1980 Geomorphological Map of Belarussian SSR. Summarizes glacial history including five major ice sheets: Narev, Berezine, Dnieper, Sozh and Poozerian. Discusses new and earlier evidence from geomorphology and till stratigraphy. Concludes glacial pattern in Belarus was more complicated than previously thought, particularly in case of limits of Poozerian glaciations in north-west and north. Other main modifications concern glacial limit of Sozh substage in east and maximum extent of Dniepr glaciation in south.
