Record #170996:

On the age and extent of the maximum Late Pleistocene ice advance along the Baltic-Caspian watershed / V.P. Gey, V.V. Kozlov, D.B. Malakhovsky.

Title: On the age and extent of the maximum Late Pleistocene ice advance along the Baltic-Caspian watershed / V.P. Gey, V.V. Kozlov, D.B. Malakhovsky.
Author(s): Gey, V. P.
Kozlov, V. V.
Malakhovsky, D. B.
Date: 2004.
Publisher: Amsterdam: Elsevier
In: Quaternary glaciations - extent and chronology : Part I Europe. (2004.),
Abstract: Complements digital maps included with volume. Discusses Valdaian glaciation of north-western European Russia. Outlines division into two periods, status of interstadial and debate over which periods had greater extent. Summarises evidence used to draw limit of maximum Pleistocene advance. Post-Eemian glacial maximum occurred 18-20 ¹⁴C kyr BP, dated to 18 ¹⁴C kyr BP in Vologda region. Discusses deglaciation chronology, with last (Neva) Stadial c. 13,300 yr BP.
