Abstract: | Presents results of analysis of Antarctic soil samples, showing 38 eubacteria strains belonging to Bacillus genus, 12 of which produce amylolythic enzymes when cultured on synthetic medium with 1% starch as unique carbon source. Demonstrates high potential for α- and β-amylase enzyme biosynthesis, when cultured under submerged conditions and in solid state fermentation system. |
