Гляциоклиматические характеристики Алтая: современное состояние и реконструкция голоцена

Title: Гляциоклиматические характеристики Алтая: современное состояние и реконструкция голоцена
Title, transliterated: Gli︠a︡t︠s︡ioklimaticheskie kharakteristiki Altai︠a︡: sovremennoe sostoi︠a︡nie i rekonstrukt︠s︡ii︠a︡ golot︠s︡ena / M.D. Ananicheva.
Translated title: Glacio-climatic characteristics of the Altai: recent state and Holocene reconstruction.
Author(s): Ananicheva, M. D.
Date: 2004.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2004.), Vol. 96 (2004)
Abstract: Reconstructs main glaciological characteristics (air temperature, solid precipitation, balance profile) of mountain areas (particularly Altai) during Holocene optimum. Adapts palaeoclimatic reconstruction for region's plain, based on spore analysis in Tomsk-Ob' river lowland, to conditions of 17 mountain glacier groups. Verifies balance profiles with present-day ELAs. Presents deviations of ELA and ELA-temperature from present values for precipitation values same as, and 15% greater than, today's. Finds ELA distribution particularly compatible with field evidence for unchanged precipitation. Presents temperature and precipitation data from lowland and high-mountains around Altai-Sayany system showing warming of 0.8-1.2 °C since 1960s, with concurrent precipitation increase. Concludes conditions favour glacier retreat but not yet catastrophic.
