Abstract: Fire in 1977 burned slope which had been moist, tussock and shrub tundra on lower slopes to very poorly drained wet sedge meadow on flat crest. Vegetation was sampled before fire and at 8 sites after, over 25 year span. Permafrost active layer changes are noted.
