Abstract: Proposes procedure to account for cryostructure in estimation of thermal conductivity of frozen soils based on theory of generalized conductivity of media with heterogeneous inclusions. Considers ice matrix with frozen soil inclusions shaped as ellipsoids of revolution. Represents various cryostructures, layered, tubular, and reticulate, by changing ratio of ellipsoid semi-axes. Calculates volumetric heat capacity of soils with cryostructure as sum of specific heats of soil components.
