Application of geosynthetics for treatment of subgrade troubles in permafrost regions / Jianzhong Pei, Mingjian Dou, Changshun Hu, Ziwen He, Wei Zhang.

Title: Application of geosynthetics for treatment of subgrade troubles in permafrost regions / Jianzhong Pei, Mingjian Dou, Changshun Hu, Ziwen He, Wei Zhang.
Author(s): Pei, Jianzhong.
Dou, Mingjian.
Hu, Changshun.
He, Ziwen.
Zhang, Wei.
Date: 2002.
Language: Chinese.
In: Journal of Glaciology and Geocryology. (2002.), Vol. 24(6) (2002)
Abstract: Proposes treatments based on geosynthetics to alleviate subgrade problems affecting roads and railways in permafrost regions. Three treatments are proposed for non-uniform subgrade settlement and three for longitudinal cracking. Presents principles for choosing geosynthetics based on their strengths, structural properties, longevity and vulnerability to damage during construction. Combines this with practical experience to "solve key construction problem of geosynthetic use in these regions".
