Record #168343:

Variation of the ground temperature field in permafrost regions along the Qinghai-Tibetan railway / Weidong Pan, Shaoshui Yu, Haifeng Jia, Dengke Liu.

Title: Variation of the ground temperature field in permafrost regions along the Qinghai-Tibetan railway / Weidong Pan, Shaoshui Yu, Haifeng Jia, Dengke Liu.
Author(s): Pan, Weidong.
Yu, Shaoshui.
Jia, Haifeng.
Liu, Dengke.
Date: 2002.
Language: Chinese.
In: Journal of Glaciology and Geocryology. (2002.), Vol. 24(6) (2002)
Abstract: Analyzes observations of ground temperature from cores in representative permafrost areas along Qinghai-Tibetan railway. Compares these with meteorological observations in region over last 30 years. Air temperature has increased by about 0.45 °C, resulting in an average increase in soil temperature of 0.2-0.3 °C. Influence of air temperature increase extends to 20 m depth, with a slight effect on deeper soils to 40 m.
