| Abstract: | Among recent lemmings (Dicrostonyx torquatus from Yamal and D. groenlandicus) there are populations with archaic sets of morphotype characteristic at end of Late Pleistocene. Finds that lemmings with best developed tooth system live in Bering Sea sector of Arctic (Wrangel Island, Chukotka and Alaska). Relates data to mtDNA data. |
