Record #167988:

Heat exchange / Robert Ehrlich.

Title: Heat exchange / Robert Ehrlich.
Author(s): Ehrlich, Robert.
Date: 2003.
In: Natural History. (2003.), Vol. 113(3) (2003)
Abstract: Extended review of "The discovery of global warming" by Spencer Weart. Criticizes Weart's discussion of climate feedbacks, particularly his omission of negative feedback, omission of temperature data from satellites, and dismissal of potentially positive impacts of warming. Claims Weart's discussion of global warming skeptics focuses more on discrediting critics of global warming theory than addressing their arguments. Counters Weart's view that consensus statements from International Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have been "highly qualified and cautious", claiming IPCC executive summaries have been "anything but cautious". Highlights large range of predicted temperature change over next century. Argues against increasing gasoline tax in US. Advocates only "no-regrets" measures (those "which make sense no matter what the future levels of warming")
