| Abstract: | Reports measurements of isotopic ratio of hydrogen (δD) in surface snow along transect from Antarctic coast to inland ice sheet. Describes measurement of δD in melted ice samples by reduction of water with chromium powder. Reports range of -200 per mil. to -400 per mil., with gradual increase from coast to inland. Variations in δD and δ¹⁸O agree. Reports deuterium excess in coastal region less than 10 per mil. No maps or English locations given (latitudes suggest inland from Syowa station to Dome Fuji) |
