Abstract: Describes distribution of Soviet krill fishing effort based on vessel-days fished in Subareas 48.1, 48.2 and 48.3, and discusses factors that may have influenced patterns in distribution of fishing fleet. Retrospective data analyses show that most intense fishing effort occurred where air transfer from south was greatest.
