| Abstract: | Analyses records of ice quakes on Hans Glacier, Spitsbergen. Six seismometers in temporary surface networks recorded vertical oscillations of ice over spring or summer periods in 1995, 1997 and 1999. Describes location of icequake epicentres, mostly in marginal zone and presents source parameters, such radius, seismic moment, apparent stress and stress drop. Compares scaling relations for source parameters of spring and summer icequake series. |
