Record #166825:

Vertical pressure exerted by stamukhas to the ground / S.V. Astafiev, G.A. Surkov, A.M. Polomoshnov.

Title: Vertical pressure exerted by stamukhas to the ground / S.V. Astafiev, G.A. Surkov, A.M. Polomoshnov.
Author(s): Astafiev, S. V.
Surkov, G. A.
Polomoshnov, A. M.
Date: 2003.
Publisher: Mombetsu: Okhotsk Sea & Cold Ocean Research Association
In: Proceedings of the 18th International Symposium on Okhotsk Sea and Sea Ice, Mombetsu, Hokkaido, Japan, 23-27 February 2003. (2003.),
Abstract: Examines pressures on seabed and buried pipelines exerted by stamukhas. Presents mathematical model of pressures resulting from sail growth and water level lowering during low tide. Finds mean pressure grows linearly with sea depth, up to maximum corresponding to compression strength of stamukhas, i.e., around 0.18 MPa.
